The black professionals of Johnson County and Linn County had a truly remarkable season, with wonderful events that allowed the two communities to come together and build relationships in a respectful and uplifting way.

 The participation of city officials such as Mayor Bruce Teague and County Supervisor Royceann Porter was an immense source of pride for the organizers, who valued their support and presence immensely. Support from other elected officials within the community. With participants from Johnson and Linn Counties traveling to each other's events, the sense of community and unity was palpable. As the season comes to a close, the Black Professionals of Johnson County & Linn County are inviting everyone to join them for the first annual masquerade ball, which promises to be an unforgettable experience. 

The support from incredible sponsors such as JD beauty supply, Robertson Branding Company, Dream City IA, McGrath Auto, Iowa American Water, Better Together 2030, and Think Iowa City has enabled these grassroots efforts to flourish and created important economic development opportunities. 

Attendees are encouraged to dress to the nines and get ready for a night to remember, which will be a fitting end to a fantastic season.
