Friday, February 12, 2021 (12:00 PM - 1:30 PM) (CST)

Description

Join us for the fifth event in our CLP 30th Anniversary Alumni Program, Local Economics: Adapting to Our New Economic Reality.

Join area economic development partners to hear about the current state of the economy, including data around unemployment numbers and the unequal impact of the recession on women and people of color. Our speakers will share how our community has responded to this crisis through a collaborative approach called Project Better Together, and highlight the focus on inclusive economic recovery.

Speakers:

  • Kate Moreland - President, Iowa City Area Development Group
  • Mark Nolte - Project Director, Project Better Together
  • Nancy Bird - Executive Director, Iowa City Downtown District

Stick around after the presentation to catch up with your classmates!

The $15 registration fee includes a $10 credit towards a delivery from one of our restaurant members through CHOMP Delivery. Chomp has also provided free delivery! Each code is valid only during the day of the event.
