Join us for the third event in our CLP 30th Anniversary Alumni Program! Our focus for Local Government Day is "Emergency Management and Impacts in 2020 and Beyond."
We will share an inside look at how Emergency Management has helped Johnson County navigate the pandemic and August Derecho along with insight into the financial realities of local governments. COVID-19 has had an immediate impact on local government budgets and will have lasting effects for several years to come. The demands on local governments for services and needs of the community are growing as households, non-profits and businesses have all been impacted greatly. Learn how these events have presented different challenges from past emergency responses and how your local officials have responded.
Stick around after the presentation to catch up with your classmates, and learn about the rest of our 30th Anniversary programming.
The $15 registration fee includes a $10 credit towards a delivery from one of our restaurant members through CHOMP Delivery. Chomp has also provided free delivery! Each code is valid only during the day of the event.
