Join us as we celebrate Press Coffee's Grand Opening at their new location in Iowa City!

Press Coffee was located in Coralville for seven years before Katie and Lisa took ownership and moved it to its current location on North Dodge Street in Iowa City. Reopening at the end of June 2021, the shop has continued the original vision of specializing in French pressed coffee, but the atmosphere has been enhanced with a bit of Katie and Lisa flair. The new space is larger and features front and back patio space, a rentable party room (coming soon!), and a drive-up window for convenience. Large batches of brewed coffee are pressed every day until two, or sit with your own press of any roast on our menu. The menu also includes specialty espresso drinks, smoothies, and tea from Gong Fu in Des Moines (including the best chai tea latte in the state!) Pastries are baked in-house every day with the addition of Donutland Donuts Friday through Sunday.

Rules:

Parking is limited so please consider carpooling or riding your bike! If the lot is full, parking is allowed along the right side of the alley so long as you stay off the grass and not completely block access through it. More parking can be found across the street in the old Hy-Vee lot. The Press Coffee staff has begun masking again due to the rising cases in the state and the return of students this fall. As of now, we do not require our guests to mask but it's highly encouraged to keep our community safe!
