Please join us for the Grand Opening of Remedy Internal Medicine! 

Remedy Internal Medicine is a direct primary care clinic created and run by Dr. Rachael Dirksen.

The clinic opens for informational meetings on 8/16/21 and will begin patient care on 9/7/21. 

Direct primary care is a model where the patient pays the clinic a periodic fee (in this case $125/month or $1200/year) in exchange for primary care services. 

Eliminating the insurance middleman allows Remedy Internal Medicine the ability to remove a lot of the hassles of the traditional primary care system, giving patients greater transparency with medical costs and a more personalized relationship with their medical team. 

Patients gain greater access to their physician through phone, text, and virtual or in-person visits, with the additional benefits of same or next day appointments, longer office visits, and minimal wait times. 

Dr. Dirksen cares for a lower total number of patients meaning she gets to do the thing she loves, spending time getting to know her patients and creating personalized care plans. Dr. Rachael Dirksen is a native Iowan with a medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Internal Medicine Residency Training from the University of Colorado, and several years’ experience caring for adult patients in the outpatient setting. She looks forward to opening Remedy Internal Medicine and creating relationships with her patients and the Iowa City area business community.

Rules for the Event: We will plan for an outdoor event where masks are optional, but we request attendees to wear a mask while exploring our indoor space.
