Ribbon Cutting - City of North Liberty

Tuesday, May 14, 2024 (4:30 PM - 5:30 PM) (CDT)

Description

All are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the City of North Liberty's new city hall building. Meet with City of North Liberty team, tour the new space, and show your support to the growing and involved city of North Liberty.

The new building, at 360 N. Main St., brings City Hall to its fourth — and final — home, and includes indoor and outdoor community spaces.

A decade ago, the City of North Liberty began acquiring land in the original part of town with the intent of building the city’s civic campus. The new City Hall follows the recent remodeling of the nearby fire station and the 2020 opening of the new police station to complete the Civic Campus.

The new facility, which sits between Reds Alehouse and the Police Department amid Dubuque, Cherry and Main streets, will house the city’s administrative offices, city council chambers, flexible indoor community space and a public plaza for events, gatherings and other community building. The investment in original North Liberty helps anchor a growing walkable district.

The offices will increase staff efficiency by bringing together administrative, finance, billing, human resource, legal, building inspection, planning, information technology and community relations staff into a single, purpose-built facility for the first time ever.

Register and add this event to your calendar. Join us in celebrating with them!
