This performance can be viewed on our Facebook page. Johnny Kilowatt is Jon Klinkowitz, a 30-year veteran of the Iowa City music scene. He was a founding member of The Blues Instigators featuring Kevin Burt, held down the guitar chair with Patrick Hazell and Mother Blues for 10 years, and ran Iowa City’s Monday Night Blues Jam for about 15 years at various venues. The Johnny Kilowatt Band has been playing electric blues since 1997, appearing at many regional music festivals including several appearances at the Iowa City Jazz Festival, the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival main stage, and the North Liberty Blues and BBQ Festival. Joining Klinkowitz will be the all-star lineup of Saul Lubaroff (sax), Bill Peterson (keyboards), Tim Crumley (drums) and Ed English (bass).
