Women's Entrepreneurship Lunch: Rural Business Entrepreneurs

Description

Join Greater Iowa City, Inc. and the University of Iowa's John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center to connect with women in business, enjoy lunch, and learn from a panel of entrepreneurs doing business in rural Johnson County.

This event is free, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Register by July 29th at 8pm to secure your lunch.

Meet the Panelists

Moderator: Sarah Thompson 

Sarah is the Director of Rural Development for Greater Iowa City, Inc. In this role, she helps small towns and rural areas of Johnson County thrive. 


Stephanie Getting

Stephanie and her husband, Taylor, opened Calyx Creek Lavender & Lodging in Oxford. This beautiful lavender farm also has an event space, craft classes, professional photographers, and much more!


Robin Bostrom

Robin is the Director of Empower Rural Iowa for the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). Prior to this role, she served as a small business consultant for the Iowa Downtown Resource Center


Katie Colony

Katie is the Co-Owner of Colony Acres Family Farm. Katie and her husband, Dean, are third generation Iowa farmers who operate and manage this farm that their family started 97 years ago.


Sonya LaGrange

Sonya is the Owner of Black Squirrel Tap, the Co-Owner of the Vault Boutique, the Co-Owner of the Rose Barn, and the Co-Owner of the Fernweh Airbnb.
